Eating and Nutrition Problems

The most effective treatment for individuals with eating problems is through a multi-disciplinary approach. This can include a combination of medicine, nutrition, psychotherapy (individual and/or group), and psychiatry visits. At Gannett, the Cornell Healthy Eating Program (CHEP) has been developed with comprehensive care in mind. Many CAPS staff members are part of the CHEP team, collaborating with medical and nutrition colleagues to ensure that individuals with eating problems receive timely and appropriate care.

Information about nutrition and eating problems at Cornell and beyond, with links to many other resources, can be found in the Top 10 College Health Problems section of this web site.

The National Eating Disorders Association provides helpful information and referrals for eating disorders treatment. Call their toll-free number: 800 931-2237.
