Eligibility

All currently enrolled, full-time, and officially designated part-time Cornell students are eligible for services at CAPS. Eligibility for services is strictly related to actual enrollment status and is unrelated to what health insurance plan a student is on.

If a student's enrollment status changes during the course of treatment, CAPS staff member can discuss what impact this will have on the student's eligibility for obtaining further services (at CAPS or elsewhere).

Extramural students, students in absentia, students on leave, and graduated students are not eligible for ongoing services. We can consult with them about other options, including referral to a provider in the Ithaca community or elsewhere.
