Executive Committee on Campus Health and Safety

The Executive Committee on Campus Health and Safety provides joint academic and student services oversight of campus health policy,

Formed in 2001 to guide the work of the President's Council on Alcohol and Other Drugs, the "Executive Committee on Campus Health" extended its mission in 2004 to provide oversight for the newly formed Council on Mental Health and Welfare. 

In 2005-06, the ECCH addressed broader public health issues, including emergency planning (particularly pandemic flu planning) and environmental health and safety risk management. Mental health-related discussions focused on the development of a presidential caring community statement and policy implications of the Shin vs. MIT lawsuit. The Committee also considered issues related to access to health care.

In 2006-07, the Executive Committee on Campus Health added “Safety” to its its title and mission. The Executive Committee on Campus Health and Safety guides the work of and receive recommendations from the:
