Medical care
-
In an emergency, call 911.
-
Non-emergency medical services for minor illnesses and injuries are available to Cornell visitors and guests at Gannett and in the Ithaca community. Call us (607 255-5155) or stop by to consult with a Gannett health care provider. We will help you assess your needs and options.
-
If you need services Gannett cannot provide, or need assistance when we are closed, our staff will help you connect to the appropriate off-campus medical care provider and/or facility.
Pharmacy
The Gannett Pharmacy offers prescription and non-prescription medications, and a variety of health and self-care supplies.
Paying for Services
Fees are charged for most services, and payment is expected at the time of the visit. We accept cash, check, or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover).
Receipts
Upon request, a Gannett cashier (Level 3) will provide you with a statement of charges you may submit to your health insurance company.
Please be aware: it may take 3-5 business days for all charges associated with your visit to appear in your statement. For instance, lab tests ordered during your visit may generate further charges if they are sent to outside labs or if they necessitate follow-up testing. If you obtain a printed receipt a Gannett cashier before then, it may not reflect all charges.
Medicare and Medicaid
Gannett is not able to bill directly to Medicare or Medicaid, but we can help connect you to providers who can. If you choose to receive care at Gannett, you will be responsible for charges. If you need lab tests, x-rays, or other special procedures, please let your clinician know so we can make arrangements for you to have them done at the hospital.
