Implanon

Implanon is a flexible plastic rod that is inserted just under the skin on the inner surface of the upper arm. It releases tiny amounts of a progestin, which prevents ovulation and thickens cervical mucous, thereby preventing pregnancy. Effectiveness is 99.9% for perfect use and typical use.
