What's a Clinician?

The term "clinician" is our shorthand way of referring to the primary care providers at Gannett, including Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants. All of our clinicians have had excellent professional training. In addition, they all have expertise in college health.

Physicians (MDs and DOs) are board-eligible doctors trained in a variety of specialties, including family practice, internal medicine, osteopathy, and pediatrics.

Nurse Practitioners (NPs) are registered nurses with advanced education and clinical training that qualifies them to diagnose and manage acute and chronic illness.

Physician Assistants (PAs) are health professionals with advanced education and clinical training that qualifies them to practice medicine under the supervision of a physician.
