Plan Your Appointment in Advance

Call 607 255-5155 to schedule an appointment with a travel nurse.

In order for us to serve your needs, it is essential that you call at least six weeks prior to your departure. (Some immunizations are given in a series over a period of time.) Initial appointments include discussion and answers to your questions, as well as scheduling any injections you might need.

Travel Services staff can arrange information and inoculation programs for groups of people traveling together.

Fees

Fees are charged for consultation appointments, immunizations and supplies. Please ask about current fees when you call to schedule your appointment or during the appointment itself. We will be happy to discuss them with you and help you prioritize your needs if your finances are limited.

You may use a credit card, personal check, cash, or bursar charge (students only) to pay for the visit at the time of service.

Health Insurance for Travelers

Check your health insurance plan before you travel so understand your coverage and know what insurance information to take with you.

Make sure your plan covers medical evacuation in case of illness or injury; if it doesn't, get additional insurance for that purpose. Information about medical evacuation services is provided on the U.S. Department of State website. Students who have Cornell’s Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) should contact the Cornell University Office of Student Health Insurance to learn of the many benefits for travelers.

Medical and Travel Assistance

International SOS is Cornell's medical and travel assistance program for University business travel anywhere in the world. Cornell has made the benefits and services of International SOS available to ALL members of the Cornell community. If you are planning any University travel we encourage you to take advantage of this program.
