The Gannett Pharmacy will soon sell an extensive array of over 200 medications (prescription and non-prescription) and health care supplies at reduced prices. These will include allergy and asthma medications, antibiotics, anti-depressants, acne medications, and much more.
The rising costs of U.S. prescription drugs can make
it difficult to cover the cost of these medications. Sometimes, even an otherwise-generous
health insurance plan will not cover the cost. The Gannett Assistance Program
(GAP) is designed to help Cornell students identify resources to offset the cost of their prescription
medications. Limited assistance is available to students who have reached (or who anticipate
reaching) the maximum level of coverage offered by their health insurance plans.
Many free or discounted drug program can be found through the Partnership for Prescription Assistance. Go online to www.pparxny.org. Click on the button marked ”Patients,” and enter the information requested. It’s possible you will be able to find the resource you need without the involvement of a staff member from Gannett.
If the above website does NOT offer the resource(s) you need, please complete the form on Side 2 of the attached file (pdf), and then call 255-6976 to schedule a time to review your information with our pharmacist. S/he will be able to advise you on additional resources for accessing the medications you need.
Because every situation is unique, it can take time to identify new resources.
We encourage you to access the GAP as soon as you are aware of your need.
This new prescription drug discount card program may help save you money, whether or not you have existing prescription drug benefits. Learn more.
