Testing: Part of Comprehensive Sexual Health Care

At some time during your years at Cornell, you may have the need to be tested for STIs (sexually transmitted infections), HIV, or pregnancy.

The information below should answer some questions you may have about what is involved and how to get tested. Students are also encouraged to consult about personal situations with one of Gannett's Clinical Counselors, as the counslor can provide confidential and personalized health information related to an individual's experience.

Students sometimes wonder whether they can request a male or female provider for testing. At Gannett, we have both male and female health care providers who can test and treat students. When you make an appointment, mention whether you have a preference for a male or female provider. Gannett will do its best to make you feel comfortable when you come for your visit.
