Resources: What's Available Elsewhere?

Gannett is the most convenient place to get sexual health services, pick up brochures and information, consult with a clinical counselor or get sexual health supplies. But if you are inclined to look elsewhere for sexual health services and information, here are some options:

Planned Parenthood of the Southern Finger Lakes

Located in downtown Ithaca, Planned Parenthood offers sexual health and family planning services, including STI and pregnancy testing and counseling. The Education Department carries a wide range of videos, brochures and handouts as well as educators who conduct programs and facilitate discussions in schools and at colleges.

Southern Tier AIDS Program (STAP)

A not-for-profit community service program serving an eight county region in southern NY State (including Tompkins County). They are the primary provider of HIV/AIDS specific services in the region.

For free, anonymous rapid HIV testing (results in 20 minutes) provided by the Tompkins County Health Department. Call 607-272-4098.

Local private physicians

There are several local physicians in private practice who can provide sexual health care, gynecological or obstetric care, STI testing , etc.  Look under "Physicians' in the local phone book or call Gannett for a consult and referral.
